Legendary Dodger "Sweet" Lou Johnson Visits West Adams
Legendary Dodgers outfielder “Sweet” Lou Johnson visited West Adams last Thursday, May 19th to talk to the senior class as they prepare to graduate and move on to the next stage of their lives. The seniors were inspired by Mr. Johnson’s words and had a lot of inquisitive questions for this Dodger great.
In the 1965 World Series, Sweet Lou hit two home runs, including the game winner in the clinching Game Seven. He was the only run scored in Sandy Koufax's perfect game on Sept 9, 1965.
In addition to this great event, all seniors will receive free tickets to a West Adams Prep Dodger Game Night, Friday June 17, 2011!
