The event draws a uniquely upscale audience. In addition to the business community of Los Angeles, LA's Promise has benefited from an incredibly deep connection to Hollywood figures, who have served as honorees and entertainers for each Gala. In 2005, ‘Stand Up for Mentoring” featured performances from numerous top comedians, including Larry David, Ellen Degeneres, Kevin James, Chris Rock and Ray Romano. The 2007 Gala honored Tom Cruise and was hosted by Jay Leno, with Kanye West performing. In 2009, Jack Black emceed and wll.i.am performed in recognition of the Co-Chairs of Fox Filmed Entertainment, Jim Gianopulus and Tom Rothman.

Past Galas have attracted widespread media coverage. A simple Google search for “LA’s Promise Gala” yields over 33,000 images. Our 2009 and 2010 press coverage included the Hollywood Reporter, Variety, US Weekly and the Los Angeles Times. With the consultation of a notable PR firm, LA’s Promise conducts an extensive marketing campaign leading up to the Gala. Our email reach and social media followers total more than 10,000 individuals, not to mention the additional leverage we receive from our honorees, Event Chairs, partners and sponsors. With these resources we typically reach thousands more. LA’s Promise aggressively seeks placement in print, online and radio to extend the LA’s Promise Gala to multiple audiences and garner additional support. Sponsors receive exposure and promotion throughout our marketing campaign, at the event itself and in post event wrap up.
