Evelyn Pruneda, College Access Administrator Manual Arts High School
Evelyn Pruneda is a College Access Administrator for LA's Promise. In this role, she supports the organization's mission to provide every child with a college preparatory experience. She works at Manual Arts High School to authentically empower students and their families in the college preparation and application processes.
Evelyn joined LA's Promise in August of 2008 as a Program Assistant at Manual Arts High School. Prior to LA's Promise, Evelyn held a position at the Los Angeles based litigation firm Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP as a Litigation Fellow. She also worked in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant to the former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi during her tenure as a Fellow with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
She received her B.A. in Politics from Occidental College.
Her favorite books are Peel My Love Like an Onion by Ana Castillo, and Everything written by Sandra Cisneros, Gloria AnzaldĂșa, and Audre Lorde.
Evelyn enjoys bicycling, photography, music.
