Frank Marshall Kennedy/Marshall Company
With more than 70 films to his credit as a visionary producer who has helped shape American film, Marshall is also an acclaimed director and active participant in public service and sports. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981) marked the beginning of Frank Marshall's epochal collaboration with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and his wife, Kathleen Kennedy, on the Indiana Jones series. With Kennedy and Steven Spielberg, he was one of the founders of Amblin Entertainment. In 1991, he and Kennedy formed The Kennedy/Marshall Company and have a production deal with Sony Pictures.
His films have been nominated for a multitude of Academy Awards®, including Best Picture nominations for RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1982), THE COLOR PURPLE (1985) THE SIXTH SENSE (1999) SEABISCUIT (2003) and most recently, David Fincher's THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON (2008), which received 13 Academy nominations.
Marshall will begin production on the fourth installment of the Bourne franchise, the BOURNE LEGACY (2012), in September. As part of the ESPN series “30 for 30”, Marshall is directing a documentary about Olympian Johann Olav Koss entitled "Right to Play", which will air in the Fall.
Marshall serves on the Board of Directors for LA's Promise.
